How it works

Discuss the piece and price
Send your idea through the private inquiry form. Yao reviews the shape, size, and material, then discusses the price and timing with you. A drawing is enough to start the conversation.

Prepare the design for metal
When the project includes design, Yao develops the CAD model and resolves proportions before preparing a castable pattern. An existing file still needs review for thickness, stone fit, and access for finishing. A model that looks right on screen may need changes before it is ready for casting.

Cast in gold or silver
Yao prepares the pattern for lost-wax casting and casts it in the metal you agreed on. The result is a raw metal piece, ready for cleanup and the next steps.

Finish and arrange delivery
The raw casting is cut from its casting channels and cleaned up. Your order may also include assembly, stone setting, texture, or polishing. For remote projects, you and Yao arrange delivery online. Mention any deadline early so there is time for both making and shipping.

Can I order custom jewelry from another state?
Yes. Cast House accepts nationwide inquiries, and the design discussion can begin online. Send your references and delivery state first. The quote, review steps, timing, and delivery arrangements are agreed for your piece before an order is created.
Do I need a finished CAD file?
No. A photograph, drawing, or description can start the conversation. If you have a CAD file, mention its format and the dimensions. Yao will determine whether the project needs design work, changes to an existing model, or preparation for casting. CAD-only work can also be discussed separately.
Do you work in gold and sterling silver?
Yes. Tell Yao which metal and color you have in mind. The alloy, size, and construction affect the price, and the exact material is confirmed before you order.
What determines the price of jewelry casting?
The main factors are design preparation, the chosen alloy and metal weight, quantity, and the bench work after casting. Stone setting, assembly, and finishing also affect the quote. A raw casting and a finished, wearable piece are different scopes, so compare what is included rather than only the casting fee.
Can you make one custom piece?
Yes. You can start with an individual ring, pendant, or other custom piece. Include the quantity in your inquiry so Yao can discuss the appropriate production plan. A one-piece commission and repeated production need different preparation.
How long will my project take?
Timing is agreed after the design, materials, and work are reviewed. Design revisions, stone requirements, bench work, and shipping all affect the schedule. Include your deadline in the first inquiry; do not assume a date is reserved until it has been confirmed.
Can I send an old piece or my own stones?
Start with photos and measurements. Yao will discuss whether your metal or stones can be reused. Please wait for his confirmation before shipping anything.
